Hi! We are so excited that the Fort Lauderdale Air Show is taking place this weekend! Although the staging for the show is down on Sunrise and AIA, Lago Mar is still a great place for our members and resort guests to watch the planes and get a taste of the show without dealing with the crowds. I am pretty sure that I have seen every single show from our beach and I always love the energy and the sense of Patriotism I feel while watching these amazing men and women fly these incredible aircraft. I believe that on Friday some of the planes actually do their practice maneuvers down on this end of the beach mid-afternoon and that is a really neat experience, too.

I checked the weather forecast and this weekend is supposed to be Sunny and Perfect, so Chris and I can’t wait to spend at least one of the two days sitting under an umbrella, enjoying some tropical drinks, and watching the spectacular planes and helicopters go by with the kids in tow. We love the new Lunch Specials that are printed on cute boards on each table down the Promenade Walkway so we will probably head up there for a quick lunch at some point.

Today I actually had lunch outside rather than inside with my colleagues in order to try the Blackened Prime Rib Sandwich with horseradish mustard sauce (today’s special) and blog to you all about it. And wow! It was so delicious! Between the view of the ocean, the sunshine and awesome breeze and Chef’s delicious special, I just have to have gratitude for my job. Hope to enjoy the great weather and exciting entertainment this weekend with all of our guests and members!
