It was a happy July 4th Weekend at Lago Mar! Our holiday at the resort was awesome! Thursday evening, we celebrated the graduation of a group of yoga students from the Yoga Joint South that had just completed 200 hours of training to become certified yoga instructors. The weather was beautiful, so the ceremony was held on the beach. After all of the students received a diploma and a rose they walked to the ocean, set an intention and tossed their roses into the water. I was so happy to be apart of this and so were my kids.
Demi, Dani and I actually started our Fourth of July off with a yoga class, of course, at Yoga Joint South. Kelly taught the class and she is incredible. She was my first yoga teacher ever and had me hooked after just one class! Demi and Dani are hooked now too! Even though they both play tennis 5 hours per day they still choose to go to yoga a few times a week. Paige and Kelly are the owners of the Yoga Joint and Paige is a Beach Club Member here so they are often doing their interesting and difficult poses around the property – so cool!
A really neat story I want to share – about 1 year ago, I was looking at my newsfeed on Facebook as I was leaving the Yoga Joint South and saw a post from Paige saying that she was at Lago Mar and how it was so magical to her. I posted back that I was too feeling the magic at her place after a great yoga class! I love that story. I also feel a connection with Paige because she and I have the same birthday, June 16th. Unfortunately for me, we were not born in the same year. Ha!
Anyways…while I have been writing to you I have been having a caviar pedicure in our spa…what a great holiday and it is just getting started! I am so excited to experience Chef Phil’s delicious buffet tonight and watch the fireworks down on the beach. I will write another blog later and post some more pictures!
