full moon yoga fort lauderdale lago mar December 20, 2023 5:03 pm

Hi! I hope our Jewish resort guests and club members had a wonderful eight nights celebrating Hanukkah! I can’t believe Christmas is right around the corner and I have barely started my shopping. I know I can always count on Amber in the Resort Shop to help me with several gifts. She is awesome and everyone loves Lilly Pulitzer, Robert Graham, Brighton, and many of the other lines she offers.

As far as my kids go, I have very specific lists from the girls and nothing yet from the boys. They are so much harder to buy for! It will all get done somehow or another and then I will start enjoying Christmas around 1 p.m. when it is almost over.

I am really looking forward to not cooking on Christmas Day and savoring Chef Grant’s Christmas Dinner Buffet. I can hardly wait for the Holiday Turkey Breast with Gravy and his Red Snapper Filet with Orange Fennel Sauce. A visit to the Carving Station is a must as well as a serving of Chef’s Eggnog and Vanilla Sweet Mashed Potatoes. I am getting hungry just writing this!

The day after Christmas is going to be very special also as Keely is teaching a Full Moon Yoga Class on the Beach at 6 pm. Practicing yoga under the Cold Full Moon, especially during the winter solstice, can be a serene and reflective experience. The combination of mindful movement, breath work, and setting intentions aligns well with the transitioning energy of the new year. Under the glow of the moon, we will end our practice with a letting go ceremony and some Holiday Cheer. I am so excited!

Stay tuned for my next blog where I will share some of the other activities we have planned for the week between Christmas and New Year’s Eve. I will also share some highlights from our New Year’s Eve Dinner!

Happy Holidays,

Deb
