Hi! Wow! 2019 has sure started off with a whirlwind of activity at the resort! We have been so busy taking care of our members and guests who have been enjoying the property since the New Year. I personally spent the whole entire day there last Sunday with Chris and the kids. Demi and I started the morning off with massages in the spa and checked out the beautiful new fabric we chose for the hassock in the ladies room. We then decided to grab lunch on the Promenade Walkway. Before we knew it we were staying for dinner on the Sea Grape Terrace (great for me because I got out of cooking dinner).

This phenomenon of “staying longer than planned” has occurred many times before with our family. This is typically how it goes:

We intend to go over just for lunch. We run into members that we love. The kids find their friends on the basketball court or in the Lagoon Pool, maybe even the beach, and then the adults go for just one cocktail at the Promenade Bar. Listening to the tropical sounds of our steel drummer, having great conversation, and sipping a delicious, perfectly made margarita makes it really hard to leave the resort. The kids make it absolutely impossible. They always beg to stay longer. It is so sweet how they can never get enough of Lago Mar.

Now that we have a Pickle Ball Court up above the parking garage, there is even more fun to be had. Dinner on the Sea Grape Terrace is always so inviting, too. There aren’t many places in Fort Lauderdale where you can dine with gorgeous ocean views while watching your children play chess, ping pong, foosball, or just “hang out” (no puns intended) on the beach playground. We love it, and apparently many other families do too.

Chef Phil’s food too is, of course, a huge draw. Everyone orders what they want and I love that Chef Phil offers so many healthy items and incorporates lots of superfoods.  After dinner, the kids run to the Soda Shop. By this time they are full and tired from all of the activities and good food so Chris and I can easily gather them together and head home. What a perfect family outing! Cheers to next time!
