family fun tug of war lago mar holiday December 5, 2019 7:10 pm

Hi! I hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving. We had an amazing week at Lago Mar.

First of all, the weather could not have been more perfect for the entire week! All of my Family Programs were outside and so many guests/members had a fantastic time. Our yogis loved Keely’s class on the beach and the delicious/healthy smoothies that followed, courtesy of Chef Grant. Also, while Keely was leading her class, the Ukulele Player from the Luau was performing, which added an extra cool vibe.

Friday evening was equally awesome with the showing of Polar Express on a gigantic outdoor movie screen. In addition to the glow jewelry and popcorn we usually provide, we served the kids adorable gingerbread men. What a fabulous activity!

I hope you enjoy some pictures that I am including in my blog of the last evening: a petting zoo, face painter, and “clowning” with games on the beach. I can’t believe this year marks the 30th anniversary of me planning/facilitating our Family Holiday Programs. Although I have experienced a few snafus over the years, most of my events have gone smoothly and have been much appreciated by our guests. Through the years I have cherished watching our young guests grow up and return to Lago Mar with their children. Also, to watch my kids make/keep such close friendships with our younger guests is so much fun!

I am off now to put the final touches on my Family Program taking place during the week between Christmas and New Years. I will post soon!
