Hi! I hope everyone is having a great Holiday Season! I am so happy that all the festive activities in our town are back in full swing.

Christmas on Las Olas, held on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, was a fantastic way to kick-off the Season. Each year, Las Olas Boulevard is blocked off for pedestrians so that the many people who attend can enjoy several pop-up booths, local choirs, ice skating, and, of course, a visit from Santa. It’s been fun over the years to watch how Christmas on Las Olas has grown from each store serving a plate of homemade cookies to the extravaganza it is now.

Another amazing tradition in our town is the Winterfest Ball which is always held the Saturday night before the Winterfest Boat Parade. I was fortunate this year to be invited to the Ball this year by a good friend. Wow is all I can say! The event was based on Disney’s “Frozen” so the entire ballroom and foyer were decorated to look and feel like a winter wonderland. The band was incredible. The women attending the event were all in long gorgeous gowns. It was truly a magical unforgettable evening.

It just got me even more in the holiday spirit and I was ready to follow it up with the 50th Anniversary Winterfest Boat Parade!

Merry Christmas!

Deb
