Special Update: I know some of you saw our Facebook #TBT post so you will already know about my “secret surprise” but for those of you that did not see that post I can finally unveil the “secret” I have been eluding to in my recent blogs.

Last Monday, I presented my dad with a History Wall of the resort that goes back sixty years! He had no idea that I had been working on this project for almost a year. I always knew that the wall space in the Gallery Walkway over by the guests’ elevators was to one day be the home to our History Wall. Last year, we reached 60 years in business but were not able to properly celebrate due to COVID. It was then that I began my journey into collecting memorabilia from the past six decades.

I am so grateful to some of our longtime resort guests who assisted me with this endeavor! After months of receiving amazing materials, I finally met with Janice from Outrageous Framing, and she framed and positioned everything beautifully within the space. All I can say is my dad was so touched.

We also have room to expand our History Wall and the enthusiastic response has been fantastic! We are continuing to receive more artifacts to expand this exhibit down the Gallery Walkway. Lastly, we would still like to have a celebration for our 60th year anniversary and we promise to get back to you once we have details on that event.

Thank you again for your support and enabling us to be here for 60 years, and, God willing, 60 more.
