regripping tennis rackets at lago mar towel hut June 8, 2021 2:05 pm

Hi! Wow! We are so grateful to be so incredibly busy at the resort. We have had a fantastic April and May and June is looking like we could have the best June in the history of the resort. The forecast for the rest of the summer looks promising as well, thanks to many of you. We even have groups coming back!

Everyone is so excited to be getting back to normal and spending time at their favorite place, Lago Mar. We have received so many compliments on our enhancements in the Wine Cellar Lounge and Palm Garden Dining Room. The History Wall and the reveal of our Signature Scent in the Main Lobby have been huge hits as well.

I personally have had an interesting week, as I have been manning the Towel Hut with my teenagers. I think we have probably folded over 1000 towels! Even Demi has joined us under The Hut and contributed by re-gripping all of our loaner rackets for our guests and members to use on the courts. They look so nice hung up under the Tiki roof and our resort guests and members who are tennis enthusiasts have expressed their gratitude.

Our Towel Hut is definitely the central hub for the outside of the resort – almost like a mini outdoor front desk. It has been fun to meet and greet so many of our guests when they come to sign in for the towels. My kids also love meeting our younger guests when they give out the equipment for our many activities, including; tennis, putt-putt golf, basketball, volleyball, ping pong, and foosball.

Checking the beach bathrooms and signing off on them every 30 minutes has not been quite as fun for them but very necessary to ensure our guests are happy and satisfied. My kids have been enjoying using The Grabber to pick up trash, which is part of their job, too. Maybe I should purchase one for my house and they would be more inclined to pick up around our backyard after a day/night of having a bunch of teenagers over! I think I am on to something!

Demi, Dani, Chipper, and Sailor – the Fourth Generation of Lago Mar – will be working most of the summer and hope to see many of our guests and members at the Towel Hut.

Thank you again for all of your support and loyalty and enabling us to stay in business for 60 years!

Deb
