Hi! I can’t believe how busy we have been! Our last Tortuga guests are checking out and heading home after an amazing weekend of perfect weather and plenty of country music! Last evening, I was sitting outside my home, admiring the eight cruise ships in port, and I could actually hear the music from Tortuga! I was not able to attend the concert because we were celebrating Demi’s Sweet 16 but I heard it was spectacular!

Now, we are getting ready for Easter! Chef Phil’s Extravaganza is in the works, and my activities will start Wednesday at 4:00 pm with the Petting Zoo. We will have farm animals arriving on the Beach Playground for the kids to feed and pet. At 5:00 pm we will have complimentary cotton candy, snow cones, and face painting. There will also be games for the kids on the beach near the basketball court. Thursday, we will have a yoga class, photobooth, and a strolling magician. Friday night we will be showing the Disney movie, “Moana”, on a gigantic screen on the playground. My kids can hardly wait for the fun to start!

I personally am looking forward to tasting Chef Phil’s Mac and Cheese station on Easter Sunday – grilled chicken, shrimp, and short ribs, tossed with cream sauce or cheddar cheese sauce. We can even add veggies, blue cheese or even gruyere cheese. Between that and the Pecan Crusted Snapper, I am already getting hungry. The kids are super excited for the Chocolate Fountain and a picture with the Easter Bunny!
