Hi! I can’t believe the 60th Annual Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS) is already here! The weather is beautiful and forecasted to stay great through the next few days so we are super excited. Because of the size of the Show, there are seven locations to visit, all of which are very close to our resort, making Lago Mar a popular place to stay.

Fort Lauderdale is considered the Yachting Capital of the World and The Venice of America, so it makes perfect sense that our show is the largest in-water boat show in the world. Over 100,000 visitors from 52 countries attend the show, which obviously has a huge economic impact on Fort Lauderdale. So many of us are grateful for this annual event.

Chris and I look forward to taking the kids to the show each year. Last year, our youngest, Sailor, picked out a 41-foot Jupiter as his dream boat. Hopefully, he will turn that dream into a reality one day so he can take us out for a ride! After all, his name is Sailor! For those that already have a boat, it is fun to shop for marine products at the show. We all absolutely love the delicious food available such as wood-fired pizza, hand-crafted burgers, authentic street tacos, and even fresh-from-the-wok pad Thai. I  am getting so hungry just writing this blog.

Before I leave work today, I do need to run to The Resort Shop and pick up something to wear this weekend so I can celebrate the nautical lifestyle. Happy Boating!
