One of my favorite responsibilities at Lago Mar is putting together the holiday Family Programs. Last year, our Thanksgiving and Christmas schedules were such a hit that I can’t wait to get started on our spring program! Some of the highlights from our holiday Family Programs included:
CIRCUS NIGHT
We brought the circus to Lago Mar one evening with beautiful and talented stilt walkers dressed as angels, a face painter, Giggles the clown, and a variety of games on the beach.
YOGA ON THE BEACH
Keely McCullough of Fort Lauderdale’s Yoga Joint guided holiday guests through a special yoga practice on the sand. It was so fun to see guests of all ages and experience levels participate.
FAMILY MOVIE UNDER THE STARS
We set up a gigantic movie screen on the beach playground and offered complimentary popcorn and glow-in-the-dark bracelets to kids. Over Thanksgiving, we screened Beauty and the Beast and in December guests watched Despicable Me 3.
PETTING ZOO
An annual guest favorite, baby rabbits, pigs, goats and a llama visited Lago Mar. The animals were very cute and the children’s reactions to their fellow furry guests were even cuter.
