Hi! What a fabulous weekend! Friday evening Chris and I attended the 21st Annual Las Olas Wine & Food Festival and we had a lot of adult fun. The weather was absolutely perfect and the event sold out about two hours before it even started. After we picked up our credentials, which were wine glasses that hung on specially made necklaces (pretty cool and convenient), we headed down the famous boulevard to embark on our culinary journey.

While we were tasting bites of shrimp with guacamole, delicious pieces of spring rolls and, Chris’s favorite, the pulled pork sandwich from Beauty and the Feast, we had the opportunity to see an exquisite fashion show featuring several of the boutiques on Las Olas. I think I saw some of Zola Keller’s designs but I couldn’t hear the MC and be sure because we were too far away and it was so busy on Las Olas.

Except for Christmas on Las Olas, I don’t think I have ever seen that many people having such an amazing time on our beloved street! Before we went home to the kids, we tasted some treats from Kilwins and tried one last champagne. It definitely made for a memorable “date night”!

Saturday, after Demi’s tennis match, I treated myself to the Lago Mar Signature Firm and Glow Body Wrap – so necessary after the week I had. I love this wrap because the marine extracts in the Lumafirm lighten and brighten your skin! I can testify to this as I can already see the depigmentation in my skin since I started enjoying this service in our spa about 1 month ago. Beside the lift and glow I receive, I also get to relax for 80 minutes at the hands of our technician’s perfect touch. She honestly makes me forget all of my worries and surrender to a state of deep relaxation, which is super challenging for me. With four kids, a dog and a career, I need to unplug sometimes and spending some alone time in our exquisitely decorated spa is the perfect solution for me. I can’t wait for Mother’s Day!
