Hi! I wanted to share that the pickleball courts are still very much in the works. We have, however, changed the location. Instead of locating them on the top of the parking garage, they will replace the tennis courts on the beach. There will be four proper pickleball courts, plus some shaded areas to watch. For all of our tennis enthusiasts, the two tennis courts on the parking garage will then be dedicated only to tennis.

While we changed our minds mid-project (due to some logistical issues), we decided that since pickleball is a very social sport it might make more sense to build them close to the Promenade Bar! I haven’t really seen too many people play tennis while enjoying a cocktail and if they did they would most likely not play their best! Also, since pickleball is a sport for all ages, our younger guests/members could play while their parents supervise them at the same time enjoying some food/drinks at the bar.

Speaking of the Promenade Bar, we just solidified our plans to start Phase One of enhancing that very popular area of the resort. Our renovation includes interesting decorative ropes draping from the ceiling down to where the plants are now. The plants will be removed and there will be fun amber lighting amid the ropes. In the center of the bar, an impressive rope feature with decorative ends is sure to delight our guests/members and add to the tropical, island vibe of this hotspot at the resort. We expect, without anything unforeseen happening, to have these improvements come to fruition before Christmas. You will have to read my next blog to learn about the last but certainly not least component of Phase One of the Promenade Bar Enhancement.
