Hi! I am so excited that Thanksgiving is right around the corner. This is definitely my favorite holiday as it focuses on eating delicious food with my whole family around the table and celebrating what we are grateful for.
I personally am grateful that I have amazing kids. My oldest graduated from Harvard and is working on Wall Street. Since she works over one hundred hours per week it will be awesome to see her get to relax, if even for a short time. I also have so much gratitude that my middle kids are together at Georgetown and I am super happy to finally give my fourth child a lot of attention as he is the only one still at home. I am so fortunate to be able to celebrate with my parents, also, as my dad is my best friend and I have the honor of working with him each day my days are always happy.
Lastly, I am eternally grateful for Lago Mar. Each year at this time we look forward to catching up with our returning guests and welcoming our new guests over the holiday week. Every afternoon there is a family activity next to The Promenade Bar, except for Thanksgiving Day when we begin the day with a yoga class on the beach. The grand finale is Chef Grant’s Thanksgiving Dinner. We are all really looking forward to his abundant and delicious buffet. Some of the highlights include Holiday Turkey Breast with Gravy, a Carving Station of Slow Roasted Carved New York Strip Loin, Oven Roasted Salmon with Lemon Dill, and lots more. Of course, the sides are delicious too!
Last but not least I am so incredibly thankful for our staff and our resort guests and members because, without all of them I wouldn’t be me!
