Hi! I can’t believe that Summer is officially here! I think I am more excited than the kids because we have no more homework and I have so much less driving. Of course, we are all super excited to spend most of the summer at our favorite place, Lago Mar! Most days the girls plan to train in the afternoon on our beautiful bright blue courts. Now that Sailor, our youngest, is also playing, it is going to be even more fun! While the other 3 are on the tennis courts, Chipper will be spending his time on our awesome basketball court. Thanks to Chipper’s great idea and perseverance for a basketball court on property, we have made so many of our guests happy. We now have a covered playground, shuffleboard, putt-putt, foosball, ping pong, outdoor chess, tennis, volleyball, and basketball! The kids have an idea for another activity that we are trying to work out soon.

Activities are wonderful but nothing is better than a dip in the ocean. All four love to run down to the ocean after playing their sport and just enjoy the warm salt water. The girls love the benefits of the salt on their skin, while the boys love snorkeling for little treasures. Even at their ages they still love the comradery of building a sandcastle together. As a mom it is so nice to see them getting along and enjoying such simple things; the same things I used to love when I was a young girl growing up at our resort many years ago. Summertime is actually my favorite time in Fort Lauderdale because of the warm water temperatures and the ease of dining at all of the fabulous restaurants in our fabulous town.
