Hi! Sorry that I didn’t post this blog earlier but I really want to thank everyone who attended Heart Gallery of Broward Tru-Hearts event, which took place on February 20th at Truluck’s in the Galleria Mall. Truluck’s was so generous to host the luncheon and everything was perfect from the food to the ambiance and, of course, the champagne with the pretty fresh flower inside the glass. What a nice touch!
I love this event because we use the actual seating in the restaurant so our guests can sit at a table for two if they want to support the event while enjoying an intimate lunch or they have the choice to sit at a larger table with several others. One of our Board Members did an amazing job decorating the tables and organizing a pretty split of champagne as a memento for each guest. We had a guest speaker who shared the story of he and his wife’s struggles with infertility and then the beautiful journey that led them to adopt an amazing boy who now has a forever home. Because I was the Honoree I had to give a speech. Although I was super nervous, I was told that I did a good job!
It was really a nice event and I am so grateful to have been chosen as the Honoree. Thanks again to everyone who supported me, the Heart Gallery, and the foster kids who depend on us! Lastly, please save the date, October 8th, for Eat Your Heart Out, our next event! Last year we sold out so I will keep you posted when the tickets are available for purchase.
